Be A Voice for Nature

What We're Up Against.

After being rebuffed by the Liberal Government in 2018, the Cabot Group is once again pushing to acquire land in West Mabou Beach Provincial Park to build a private golf course. This time they want to lease 1/3 of the Park and "operate on top of it." Such actions would irreparably alter the Park's natural dune ecosystems and destroy the habitats on which numerous rare and endangered species depend.

Provincial Parks were not set aside for the benefit of private developers.

If Cabot wants to build another golf course, it should purchase appropriate private land, just like any other company.

According to the Provincial Parks Act, "All provincial parks are dedicated in perpetuity for the benefit of present and future generations of Nova Scotians." Let's keep it that way
