Arrival

My heart still leaps just at the turn of the wheel onto the beach road. The gentle green of Meditation Hill,

with background blues of sea and sky. The brown dirt road with dips and turns adding to the anticipation of arrival. Arrive, the gift of getting to be, here, now. BEattitude, gratitude, fortitude. To greet this beauty, it's comfort and promise enduring. I pinch myself, take in a deep breath, exhale, exclaim, exalt. Exist,

to begin another day's journey. (Written last July while enjoying my morning cofee at West Mabou Beach)
